This seems to be a problem that has plagued many users of Ulead's (Corel) PhotoImpact , in all versions. I had been using PI 10 since it came out in about 2004. A few weeks ago it stopped working - would not load without crashing. Following a lot of advice I uninstalled and reinstalled, cleaned the registry for a clean reinstall, etc. I thought that when I purchased the latest edition (PI x3) the problem would disappear. Instead it stops loading at mfc42.dll and I again get the error message that it has encountered a problem and needs to close. Someone somewhere must have solved this problem. Are there known conflicts with other programs? Help!!
